AC-DC

Last week on the way back home the lights on the dashboard faded and the GSX wouldn't start anymore. My new toy (APPA 80 digital multimeter) came in handy and pointed out that the stator and regulator were shot! This evening I removed the alternator cover and and got prove that the stator has passed away. A few of the windings are cooked and beyond repair.. A check on the regulator showed different numbers of resistance and too low resistance. Probably shot too! Tomorrow i'm going to order new parts. I think from Electrex because original Suzuki parts look like they're made of gold... I fitted an Electrex regulator/rectifier to my gs750 and it seems to work very well!
