I have sold my Kawasaki ER5. Lately it was suffering from a few technical problems. At one moment the bike only ran on 1 cylinder. Testing the spark plugs confirmed that I had a spark on both cylinders so I first thought it was a carb problem. My local bikeshop was interested in my kawasaki for a while. I rode the bike to the shop, explained the problem and offered him to buy the bike as it was at that moment (for a reduced price off course.) We agreed and the kawasaki was histoy. A week later when I was visiting the shop the owner told me that I had selled the bike just-in-time. It seemed that the ingition unit was beyond repair and needed replacement!
So it was time for something new! I was searching for a cheap but reliable commuter bike. First I took a look at a Kawasaki KLR250 thumper but it was to expensive and needed new tires and a new chain and sprockets (it also lacked in the horsepower department.) Last thursday I had found a great Suzuki GSX750es from 1986 on the internet. This morning me and my father in law visited the shop (Boonstra motoren in Ureterp.) At arrival the bike was looking sharp and had only run 29.000km! The bike didn't only look right but it rode as a new one! It didn't took me long to make the decision so I bought the bike for a reasonable price. On the way home I had a constant smile on my face :-D
It is an aircooled, 4 cylinder, 750cc engine with 82hp. Great fun!
Here it is!
Looks good!!! Enjoy riding your suzuki!!! I will have a look next sunday!!! René
